May 7^th - 21^st 2004. It's been 3 years since my last visit and 13 years since I was last there on my own. I stayed with Lorraine and it's actually 30 years since we first met! The weather was most unVanouver like, it rained on my first Monday and on the day I flew home. I also went to the theatre 3 times, Graham and Madeline (his girlfriend) took me to a drag show called 'Fit For A Queen' at the Stanley Theatre. A couple of Madelines' friends were in it. Then Lorraine, Robert and I went to see La Traviata at the Queen Elizabeth and finally the three of us saw the Last Night of the Proms at the Orpheum (it was just like being back home!). As it was my 7^th visit to Vancouver, I went to the tourist office, where they suggested whale watching as an option, that I hadn't done before, so Lorraine and I went and it was wonderful. We saw sea lions, seals, orcas (killer whales) and a minke whale. Marco Radunz, a friend of Lorraine's, offered to take me out one day, and we went to the Museum of Flight at Boeing Airfield in Seattle and we both had a really good time. All in all a great holiday.
