I won two British Airways flights to New York and so we decided we'd go Christmas shopping. We went from 3^rd - 8^th December. On the first day we really hit the shops, Macy's, Bloomies et al, and got most of the shopping done. We woke up on the 2^nd day to snow. The first big storm of the winter and it hit really hard. It wasn't too bad in the centre of Manhattan, the subway kept running and so we were able to get about quite easily. The third day dumped more snow on us. By the end of the storm Central Park had had about 10½ inches dumped on it. The real killer was the wind, it sliced right through us. We went to see Boy George in 'Taboo', a show I'd wanted to see in London . On the whole we had a good time and want to repeat the experience again (but without the snow this time!).
