Holiday In Malaysian Borneo

Angie and I went to Borneo and Kuala Lumpur from 11^th to 26^th February. We stayed at the Shangri-La Tanjung Aru hotel. It's probably one of the best hotels I've stayed in. We flew to Sandakan and on by boat to Selingan Island, also known as Turtle Island, where we saw a green turtle laying her eggs and baby turtles released into the sea. (Much more exciting than it sounds)! We then travelled back to Borneo and went on to Sepilok Orang-Utan Sanctuary where we saw seven Orang-Utans. These animals are wild and are being acclimatised for release back into the wild. We also went to Kuala Lumpur where we went up the Petronas Towers and the KL Tower. The weather in Borneo was fabulous, but in KL there was a haze from forest fires and so the visiblity left a lot to be desired. We had a great time and it was a horrible shock to arrive back to the below zero temperatures and snow of the UK.
