Short Break In Berlin

Photos from my short break with Lorraine and Graham, in Berlin 8^th - 11^th August 2006. We had a good time. Lorraine and Graham flew from Nottingham and I flew from Luton. We met at the airport, having landed within 10 minutes of each other, and stayed at an excellent hotel, the Sylter Hof. It was only a 3 star hotel, but had more room and was much nicer than the Swissôtel where Angie and I stayed in 2004. The weather stayed mostly dry and was sunny quite a lot of the time although it was quite cool. We saw the Bradenburg Gate, the wall, Checkpoint Charlie, KaDaWe, Schloss Charlottenburg and the Egyptian Museum. We went to the Egyptian Museum which was opposite Schloss Charlottenburg, only to find that the contents had been moved to the Alte Museum on the Unter den Linden!
